Disney Marathon

I am ready! I am ready! This is what I keep telling myself. I am etremely excited, yet extremely nervous. Just the thought of starting the race at 6 a.m. is pain in and of itself. Although my main goal is to just finish the race and stay focused with nothing but positive thoughts during the race...I have set some goals. I am shooting for a finish time of 3hrs and 30 minutes. This will give me a qualifying time for Boston. But I will not be disappointed in myself if I pace a bit slower. But I know I can do it...if running has taught me anything it is that the mental can overcome the physical. It is a choice. Although every marathoner experiences what they call "the wall" (the point in time when glycogen stores within the muscles have been depleted and as a result the runner's pace slows considerably). I have been to this point and I hope that I can strategize accordly. So if any of you are going to out at Disney on Sun. at 6-9:30am come support your runners :)
Much Love
